PEDIATRIC CARE

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT PEDIATRICS: Dawson Integrative & Functional Medicine, LLC is no longer accepting routine well pediatric patients in-office.  We have limited our pediatric scope to chronic, complex and functional/holistic care only. 

We absolutely love supporting children and families — and one of the most important ways we can do that is by providing a care environment that truly works for the child. After reviewing how little ones interact within our current office layout (particularly those with sensory sensitivities, neurodiversity, or behavioral needs), we are adjusting the way we offer pediatric care to ensure a better experience for everyone.

Pediatric visits will only be offered in a telemedicine-only format. This will allow for:

• A calmer, familiar environment for the child
   
• Easier appointment flow for parents
   
• More time for thoughtful discussion and treatment planning
   
• Improved ability to include caregivers and support team as needed

Our appointment times can be very long and we have found in-office visits are just not conducive for parents & children. For this reason, it is a good idea to retain a traditional pediatrician for your normal well visits. 

For our littles at ANY age that are looking to establish for non-medication Holistic/Functional Care, please schedule with Dr. Christina or Dr. Walter.  

If medication is needed for whatever reason, you will need to schedule with one of the nurse practitioners for a proper evaluation and medication management. 

Nurse Practitioner Nikki will see patients 2 years and older via telemedicine Monday-Wednesday. 

Nurse Practitioner Meagan will see patients 5 years and older via telemedicine Wednesday-Thursday. 

*We do not prescribe medication under 2 years old. We recommend ensuring you have access to a traditional pediatrician and/or walk-in care center. 

We understand that quality health care is hard to come by these days....and even more so, it's harder to find a provider willing to listen to your concerns and offer non-traditional options for your children.

ALL pediatric visits are telemedicine only. We do not see pediatrics in-office. 

We are also vaccine, delayed vaccine and non-vaccine friendly! When appropriate, vaccine exemptions can be issued. This will need to be discussed during appointments only.
